How We Began

Til All Families are Blessed is a Non-Profit 501 (C)3 Charitable Organization whose ultimate goals are to assist in riding the Washington Metropolitan area of its homeless population and turn families into productive thriving citizens with assets and the ability to contribute to society.

The vision for ‘Til All Families Are Blessed (TAFAB) came about in 2014 when my heart strings were pulled by my son who was 6 at the time.  We moved from Prince Georges County, MD into the Columbia Heights area of DC where my son had never seen a person living on the street. We walked past a man sitting on the ground outside a restaurant who appeared to be homeless, my son ran up to me and ask for some money, I gave him $5 and he then ran back to give it to the man sitting on the ground.  From that  day forward my son was never able to walk past any homeless person without giving them something.

We had a conversation later on about what the homeless man might do with the money we gave him. My my son expressed that he was giving the money to make sure the homeless man can eat.

This was the start of our resolve to purchase gift cards from grocery stores and local restaurants

to pass them out to the homeless people on the streets that we encountered;  to ensure that our giving would at least supply food to someone for that day.

Later on, the Lord spoke to me to form a business plan so that He could take our little efforts and Bless the world with an organization that would provide gift cards for food and essentials to the homeless and hungry and to provide housing to those in need. Hence the birth of ‘Til All Families Are Blessed.

I am excited along with our Board of Directors and Staff to fulfill the will of God in the earth with this vision and now mission Until All Families Are Blessed
